what’s been going on over here…

a lot has happened this past week!!!! first off- as anyone in the world knows by now…..the dallas-fort worth texas area got a record breaking LOTS of SNOW!!! It was sooo much fun to see and play in, but not at all fun to drive in!!

this is our snow-woman, named fristy. frosty+christy=fristy. don’t ask, my husband made it up…..but she received a valentines flower, and was so happy……she is still in our backyard!!!! her eyes and arms and mouth have fallen off, but she still stands!!!

luke and dylan loved playing in the snow. it was so unreal the amount of snow we had. we had a very busy weekend, so we couldn’t play in the snow as much as we wanted….but atleast I got some pictures!!!

dylan mostly loved just eating the snow…..off of anything….for instance….these bushes…..

secondly. my youngest brother chad got home from his mission in chile on friday morning…at 6 am!!! yes, we woke the kids up and off we went to welcome home the yard dog (nickname). it was so much fun to see him!!! luke totally remembered him and dylan-a little bit! avery was born 2 months after chad left so he met avery for the first time!! It was great having some very close friends of ours welcome him home!

lastly, my sweet grandmother (hollywood was her nickname) passed away last tuesday. I can’t tell you how much I love that woman. she was everything to me and to everyone around her. this picture was taken in decmber of 2009 just a couple months ago at my brother’s wedding. she was such a wonderful person inside and out. she was very outgoing, just like my mom! her laugh was contagious and she just lit up a room. she will forever be missed. love you meme.

all 4 of my brother’s got to be the paul bearers, along with my cousin eric. It was neat to see them together.

this is the youngest granddaughter out of 13. she and hollywood were so close.

the sweetest guy on earth, grandpa larry, her husband…saying good-bye.

Are you trying to make me start crying all over again?! Those pictures at Meme’s funeral are beautiful. She was the best grandma and a wonderful example to all.

so glad to have been part of the funderal–so missed being there for Chad’s homecoming. it was just too much to do all in one weekend. love your pictures, thanks for posting!

What a great update. I love the picture of Chad with your parents, it turned out so great! We loved seeing you guys this weekend. As soon as we got in the car Aaron said, “when can we go and hang out with Ambyr and Mark? Lets drive out there.” So we are coming to visit you guys. You can, of course, take pictures of Carson whenever you would like. He hasn’t shown any interest in crawling so I don’t think its on the near horizon. Love you!

Tina

Hey, I left you a message this morning but then I thought I would check your blog to see if you posted anything and you did!
I’m so sorry to hear about your Grandma. That sure was fast huh?
Let me know if I can do anything for you.
The pictures turned out fabulous.

I’m so sorry to hear about your grandmother. My prayers are with your family.

Wasn’t the snow beautiful?! I love that your snowgirl was named Fristy. I for some reason find that hilarious! :) Asparagus as arms…greatness
