isn’t she gorgeous!! well, not only is she an AMAZING wedding photographer, but one of my good friends as well. she needed some new updated shots and I was more than honored when she asked me to do it. we had a blast talking photography, kids, and trying to juggle the two. she just revamped her blog so go and check it out! jen you rocked it!

he’s 6 months already! he’s changed so much since birth and has his own little personality. when he was born I thought he looked JUST like his older brother, and now totally different. love those big beautiful eyes and perfect smile! can’t wait to see how much he’ll change in the next 3 months! once again my wonderful friend made this fabulous hat! she’s got some great stuff in her etsy shop and will be getting more hats for the fall here soon!! check her out!

summer came and fall is coming…

as I write, it’s september 1st, 2010. summer came and went. it’s still HOT and we still swim all the time, but school has begun and schedules are back.
so here are some pictures of this past month. I took time off of photo sessions and editing and had lots of fun relaxing and doing a whole lot of nothing. it was wonderful. and then mark went back to school august 16th, so that was a bummer… but let’s go ahead and start so we can FINISH out his LAST year of law school.
as for the kids… they are constantly running around in their underwear or lack of. I love having avery… she is already using the potty and I didn’t have to even teach her or bribe her with candy. I owe it all to my boys. apparently she’s also ready to start school… she came to me with my sunglasses on, luke’s shoes, a bag and said she wanted to go to school. not so soon little girl… please stop growing.

It has also hit me that I really need to start writing down what we now know around here as ” dylan-isms.” if any of you know my dylan, you know he can be quite the “explorer.” there is something almost every day that he does that needs to eventually be published in a book and titled “DYLAN, BATTERIES INCLUDED.” It’s insane the things I find him doing.
I hope everyone enjoyed their summer!!! as far photo sessions, my schedule is BOOKED for the rest of 2010. I’ll be putting up a little preview of the christmas cards I have to offer here soon. have a fabulous day!

I can’t believe this little guy is already a year {and a couple months} old!! I remember meeting him in the hospital and holding his tiny little hands. he was such a dream baby to photograph… and what a huge difference a year makes. we were running around,laughing and clapping! ok, I have to point out that his eyes are actually that beautiful… unreal right?! like I stated in his baby post, we are always working and will continue to work on he and avery getting married…. about 20 years left. thank you guys… little {c} has some amazing parents:)

remember when I went to jamaica?? well, weeks later, we partied it up in dallas, texas jamaican style!!! I just adore this family. I have got to know them so well and am thankful for the friendship we have and the parties they put on!! everything looked amazing! a huge thanks to CITYPLACE for holding this amazing event. it was absolutely perfect. everything from the food, to the band to the DIP N DOTS ICE CREAM!!! jana and andrew you are a beautiful couple. good luck to you in your future whatever it may hold!!!

florida 2010

every year my parents take everyone to florida or wherever they decide to go. this is something that has been a tradition since I was little. my parents have taken us all over the world it seems. we LOVE the beach. WE ARE BEACH PEOPLE!! forget the hiking, discovering, walking around, climbing mountains, etc… we love to just spend our days at the beach RELAXING. we have been to so many beautiful places. maybe I’ll dig up some pictures from the past some day. just to include a few of my favorites… Dominican Republic, Bahamas, Cozumel, and of course Florida. so this year we went to west palm beach and stayed in an AMAZING place. I’m not sure why I didn’t take any pictures of our rooms…but they were unbelievable. there was a slide in the pool that we must have rode a million times while we were there. the kids loved it and the adults loved it. it was perfect. the ocean was the perfect temperature.
and if you grew up in my house, you know that we are HOT TUB people!!! we love to just sit and enjoy the bubbling heat. we also had our fun at mad gab, spades, sorry, and some other games too.

we got to watch the fireworks since we were there on the 4th. they were all over the island. AND there happened to be an amazing firework show RIGHT ON THE BEACH BEHIND OUR HOTEL!!! it was outstanding. and it lasted forever. so much fun. well….until next year….

summer in a nutshell

It’s almost august and I have yet to blog about all of our fun trips we’ve been on the past couple months. summer has flown by… we went from jamaica (with no kids), to florida (with kids), to new york (just me!) and it has been such an adventure. I can’t get enough of gorgeous beaches.
my kids all turned 2, 4 & 5. and I didn’t even get to have a little session with any of them. maybe these pictures could count…
when we’re not traveling, we’re living in our community pool, or other friends’ pools!! It’s been so flippin’ hot here, and once again…it’s not even august. mark has been home all summer and what a dream it’s been. I know this will most likely NEVER happen again, so I’ve been soaking it all up and we’ve enjoyed having him home. 1 more year of law school…and then the BAR. so about this time next year I should be blogging about all the celebrations we’ll be having since mark will be a graduate.
until then… my kids are still cute, but don’t let their cuteness fool you… they keep me on my toes while running circles around me daily. and yes, every day I wonder what the point is of picking up toys, crayons, underwear, shoes, food, etc…
sometimes I think I live with a bunch of animals and for some reason I can’t find a lock to their cages. nonetheless, they say and do the darndest things that will have me on the floor rolling. for instance, yesterday out of nowhere, avery was walking around the house singing, “baby, I like it!” straight from the lyrics of Enrique Iglesias. I died. it was hilarious.
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer as much as we are. august is almost here and I’m taking the month off to get in some good quality family time before mark hits the books again. I’m booking for september and october now… it’s time to start thinking about christmas cards. stay tuned!

p.s. yes, my kids hang out shirtless (in their underwear) all day long…and avery chooses to wear the boys’ underwear…

I’ve known this girl for quite a while and then her wonderful family moved across the country and I haven’t seen her in 3 years! She just graduated and got to come visit texas. she is downright gorgeous right!!!?!!!!
congrats on graduating sarah!!! good luck with everything coming up in your life and hopefully you’ll come back to texas soon:)

every year my sister in law and her crew come down to visit for about a month….and every year I get the privilage to capture her sweet kids and beautiful family. It’s so fun to look back at every year we’ve done this….more kids have been added a long the way and all the kids grow up so fast. We had so much fun this past time doing all the fun things families do. miss you guys already! hopefully we’ll make it up to Indiana soon!!
